SWTOR beta announcement due friday? RUMOUR! Updated

Today, the official SWTOR forums were buzzing with rumours that this coming Friday(25th June), Star Wars The Old Republic, will start its long awaited beta testing phase. With the game due for release in ‘Spring 2010′ and after it’s recent e3 outing, the game certainly looks way past the alpha stage and production. This will give the game a solid 6 months or so of polish and balancing prior to launch. Watch this space for more details.

SWTOR Community Manager, Sean Dalhberg posted about the actual ‘Game Testing’ Agreement today. He bascially confirms Biowares and LucasArts’ stance on discussing about the testing taking place. Those selected can confirm that they are on the program but could find themselves removed and even banned from the full game if they leak any information that isnt out in the public domain.  To add further spice, the traditional ‘Friday Update’ will be coming in later than planned today.
